If you don't like this feature, you can always turn it off under the settings.

Hunter aspects, for instance, various cooldowns, fight-specific mechanics, etc. For some reason my Elvui isn't showing it on raid frames or unit player frames (meaning I don't know who to dispel) It doesn't happen with any other debuff in SoO, only on Protectors. Other than the major 8, buffs should show as normal when consolidation is turned on. It's also time saver when you spot check for the major buffs in a raid group, since you don't have to sort through all your other icons to see who didn't buff. i mean i had numbers added to my raidframes nameplates in elvui showing wich group they were in. That way there's no battle between three party members rebuffing over each others crit buff, getting frustrated that theirs isn't staying. They did this to help newer players who didn't understand that some of the different class buffs are really the same thing. For instance, if my party could offer crit, spell haste and stamina, and all anyone has buffed me with is crit, then the number would be 1/3. There will be a fraction on that icon, indicating how many of the main buffs you have, and how many you could have based on party composition. What they did was they created an icon that consolidated the 8 main types of buffs into one icon that, if I remember correctly, looks like the gold silhouette of a head. There is a setting under one of the categories to consolidate buffs, that is turned on by default.
